Starship Entertainment, the management of popular groups such as SISTAR, IVE, and MONSTA X, has a new boyband project this year. Named IDID, the group was originally going to debut with an 8-member formation.

But now only 7 people are left. One of its members, Park Jun Hwan, decided to leave the debut project IDID Debut's Plan: NewKids. In recent weeks, he was dragged into controversy after netizens accused him of being a pervert.

The pattern is the same as the bullying issue that dragged the name of the previous K-Pop artist. There are netizens who claim to have received unpleasant actions from Park Jun Hwan when they were still in school. The upload on the online forum about it went viral.

Allegedly, when he was still in school, Park Jun Hwan had made misogynistic comments, made indecent deepfake content, and demeaned women. The hashtag #ParkJunHwan_OUT was trending. Many asked for him to be kicked out of the group and IDID's debut project.

Regarding this accusation, Starship Entertainment confirmed that it is all untrue. They have also found the person who spread the false information and forced him to write an apology letter.

The perpetrator admitted that he only spread false rumors on social media. He also apologized for causing damage to Park Jun Hwan's image and reputation. But even so, the pressure was already felt. Park Jun Hwan couldn't stand the insults and got mentally ill.

The management finally decided that he should withdraw from the debut project so he could rest and recover. In its official statement, Starship also denied that during school Park Jun Hwan was a good and responsible student.

Unfortunately the rice has become porridge. "Due to baseless rumors, malicious slander, and persistent abusive comments, Park Jun Hwan, who is still a minor, has been under significant psychological stress.

Recently, the situation has worsened to the point where it is severely affecting his daily life. Although we are making efforts to support his psychological recovery through consultation with professional medical staff, he has expressed a sincere desire to step away from group activities.

In accordance with his wishes, we have decided to give him sufficient time to rest," Starship Entertainment said. Due to this announcement, IDID's current debut lineup is: Kim Min Jae, Jang Yong Hoon, Baek Jun Hyuk, Park Won Bin, Chu Yoo Chan, Jeong Se Min, and Park Seong Hyeon.
