Solo singer BoA has canceled her solo concert scheduled for August 30 and 31, 2025. SM Entertainment announced that the artist will undergo knee surgery. “We regret to inform you that BoA’s fifth solo concert will not proceed due to concerns regarding her health,” SM Entertainment said on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
“BoA was only diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis requiring surgery after (BoA) visited the hospital due to a worsening knee condition,” the agency said. Medical professionals advise reducing physical activity, including dancing, to avoid further problems.
“To avoid worsening the condition and undergoing surgery, he decided to proceed with the procedure,” the agency said. "As a result, BoA's solo concerts scheduled for August 30th and 31st have been canceled.
We apologize for any concerns caused by this news. This decision was made with the artist's health as our priority, and we ask for your understanding," the agency added. The agency is also preparing a gift for fans to celebrate BoA's 25th debut anniversary.
Due to the cancellation of her solo concert, SM Entertainment will release the album as scheduled. "This year marks BoA's 25th debut anniversary, and we plan to release her full album as scheduled without any changes to the schedule.
Any changes to future concerts will be made based on the artist's condition after surgery," SM Entertainment stated. "We will do our best to prioritize the artist's health and ensure BoA can focus on her surgery and recovery. Thank you," agency said.
