South Korean actor Song Kang Ho has decided to withdraw from the drama project Inside Men. Local media reports indicate that Song Kang Ho has withdrawn from the drama due to scheduling changes.
Filming was supposed to have already begun, but the production team recently announced a postponement. The production team of Inside Men stated there would be a two to three-month adjustment period. They had also informed the cast of this.
This led to Kang Ho's resignation. "Due to schedule changes for 'Inside Men,' filming has been postponed, and Song Kang Ho had no choice but to leave due to his commitments to other projects," a statement from the production company stated.
Production company Hive Media Corp. stated that the drama was originally slated for two seasons, filmed separately. However, the final decision was that the drama would consist of just one season with a total of 12 episodes.
This change required the production team to revise the script, which took months. Filming is expected to continue this year. "We originally planned to film Seasons 1 and 2 separately, but decided to film all 12 episodes at once. We are taking the time to revise the script.
Filming is expected to resume this year," said Hive Media Corp. The drama Inside Men was first announced last September as a remake of the 2015 film of the same name. Inside Men (2015) became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
Song Kang Ho has also been confirmed to play the character Lee Kang Hee, played by Baek Yoon Shik, in the film. Besides Kang Ho, several other artists have joined the cast, including Koo Kyo Hwan, Lee Moo Saeng, Soo Ae, WJSN's Bona, and Red Velvet's Yeri.
