'Squid Game' has once again rocked the entertainment world with its third season, which has managed to set a record as Netflix's first work to reach the first position on the TOP 10 series list (non-English) in 93 countries in just three days since its premiere on June 27, 2025.
This series tells the story of Gihun's continued struggle, who is again involved in a deadly game with personal goals, but has to lose his closest friend. The story also highlights the Frontman, who infiltrates the game with a hidden identity, as well as the final fate of the participants who struggle to survive in the midst of the cruel game.
In just three days, 'Squid Game 3' recorded 60.1 million views, ranking first in all 93 countries included in the Netflix TOP 10, including South Korea, the United States, Japan, France, and Brazil.
This achievement makes 'Squid Game 3' the first Netflix work to successfully sweep the top positions in all countries in its debut week. Not only that, 'Squid Game 3' also immediately entered the list of the top 10 most popular non-English series of all time on Netflix, occupying the ninth position.
This success complements the achievements of Seasons 1 and 2, which also perched in the top 10. In fact, last week, Season 2 ranked third and Season 1 ranked sixth in the global TOP 10 series (non-English) list, demonstrating the “reverse run” phenomenon that proves the series’ enduring popularity among global fans.
