TWICE's Jihyo is back to greet fans with her latest solo work. This time, she contributed her melodious voice in a song titled " New Days ", which became the OST for the Japanese version of the drama " Marry My Husband ".

This OST was released on June 28, 2025. New Days immediately stole attention because of its touching lyrics and emotional vocals delivered with great feeling by Jihyo. In the English lyrics of New Days, Jihyo conveys a message of revival, hope, and the courage to start over after going through hard times.

The song depicts the inner journey of someone who comes out of the darkness and begins to organize their life with a new light. Lyrics such as " The shadows inside me fade into the light" and " New days paint my story, now I'm on my way" are the main highlights that convey positive spirit and personal growth.

This song not only describes the journey of the characters in the drama, but can also be an encouragement for listeners who are struggling to find a new direction in life. Musically, New Days features a modern ballad feel with soft pop elements. The music is calm yet powerful, perfect for accompanying the emotional moments in the drama.

The combination of dramatic musical arrangements and Jihyo's distinctive vocals creates a heartfelt atmosphere. The Japanese version of the drama "Marry My Husband" is an adaptation of the popular Korean drama of the same name. This drama tells the story of a woman who experiences betrayal, a tragic death, and then goes back in time to change her destiny.

In the Japanese version, the story is lifted with a local cultural approach and played by actress Fuka Koshiba and actor Takeru Satoh. This drama presents a story of revenge, self-transformation, and love that comes unexpectedly. Making it one of the most anticipated shows this year on the Amazon Prime Video platform.

The presence of the song New Days as an OST brings an additional emotional dimension to the audience.  Jihyo's strong and empathetic vocals are able to describe the feelings of the main character, Misa, in undergoing a dramatic life change. New Days is also proof that Jihyo continues to grow as a solo artist.

After the success of her solo album ZONE and several individual performances, her participation in this OST project shows her versatility in various music genres and international projects. The song received a warm welcome from fans, especially ONCE (TWICE's fandom), who praised Jihyo's vocal abilities and the emotional depth she brings to the song.

Many have called New Days an uplifting song that is perfect for accompanying difficult phases of life. The success of New Days also shows the strong synergy between K-Pop and the Japanese drama industry, which is now increasingly open to cross-cultural collaboration.

The song not only strengthens the drama's identity as an emotional spectacle, but also expands Jihyo's musical reach to the Japanese and international markets. Through New Days, Jihyo once again proves that she is not only a K-Pop icon, but also an artist who is able to touch the hearts of many people through her voice and sincere message.

This song is not just an OST, but also a song of hope for all who want to rise and step towards a new day. If you're going through a tough time, TWICE's Jihyoo's New Days might be like a warm hug. When else do we see a big K-pop star behind a dorama, right?
