Actor Lee Jae Wook and actress Choi Sung Eun will star in KBS 2TV's latest romance drama titled 'Last Summer'. The weekend miniseries, scheduled to premiere in November 2025, is directed by Min Yeon Hong and written by screenwriter Jeon Yuri.

Produced by Monster Union and Slingshot Studio, this drama carries the remodeling romance genre which tells the story of a pair of childhood friends who face the truth about their first love, like opening Pandora's box.

'Last Summer' brings together director Min Yeon Hong, known for works such as 'The Impossible Heir', 'Missing: They Were There', and 'Insider', and writer Jeon Yuri, who has had success with 'Kiss Sixth Sense' and 'Radio Romance'.

This combination of talents, coupled with the refreshing chemistry between Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun, makes this drama highly anticipated by fans. Interestingly, this marks Lee Jae Wook's second collaboration with director Min Yeon Hong, after 'The Impossible Heir'.

In this drama, Lee Jae Wook will play two characters at once, marking his first challenge in acting with two roles. He plays Baek Doha, a talented architect living in America, and his twin brother, Baek Doyoung, who lives in Korea after their parents' divorce.

Every summer for 21 days, Doha returns to Korea and spends time at home with his older brother and Song Hakyung, the daughter of their father's friend. However, an event two years ago irrevocably changed their relationship.

Meanwhile, Choi Sung Eun will play Song Hakyung, a civil servant specializing in architecture who longs to leave her hometown of Patan-myeon. Hakyung, who grew up with childhood memories of Doha, begins to feel the stirrings of love as time goes by.

However, she hesitates to open her heart because Doha only comes every summer. When she learns a shocking secret about the twin sisters, Hakyung is overcome with anger. The production team stated, "We are very excited about Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun's chemistry in this drama.

In addition to the romance between the two main characters, 'Last Summer' also offers unique elements such as the rarely discussed world of architecture, as well as the engaging stories of the supporting characters. We hope viewers will give this drama lots of attention and love."
