MONSTA X's I.M will return to activities after a hiatus due to a back injury. This was announced by his agency, Starship Entertainment, through MONSTA X's official fan community on Friday August 22, 2025.

In an official statement, Starship Entertainment stated that IM had been undergoing intensive care since last July 2025 for back pain. "Currently, I.M's condition has gradually improved thanks to a focus on rehabilitation therapy as recommended by the medical team," the agency said.

After extensive discussions with I.M, Starship decided that the artist would gradually return to activities within limits that would not burden his health. I.M is scheduled to perform at the "2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X - JAPAN" concert, which will be held on August 27 and 28, 2025, in Japan.

He will also promote MONSTA X's latest mini-album 'THE X', which is scheduled for release on September 1, 2025. "We always prioritize the health of our artists. We will ensure I.M's full recovery so he can perform at his best on stage," Starship added in its statement.

The agency also asked for fans' support and encouragement to support I.M's recovery and return to the entertainment industry. Monbebe, the nickname for MONSTA X's fans, are expected to warmly welcome I.M's return to the international stage.
