After a long time making the audience emotional, laughing, and irritated by the royal conflicts, Bon Appétit Your Majesty is finally finished. This latest saeguk drama concludes its story with an ending that successfully leaves both heartbroken and satisfied.

The final episode immediately became a topic of conversation on social media due to its many unforgettable moments that left viewers feeling mixed up. Come on, let's discuss the review of Bon Appétit Your Majesty's final episode for those of you who are curious about the ending story!

Episode 11 of this time-travel saeguk drama  opens with a serious conversation between Lee Heon and Ji Young. The king begs the chef to stay by his side. However, Ji Young still insists that she must return to her own world.

They both eventually promise to find each other, even though they're separated by time. This episode also gets quite heated as the King begins to discover the mastermind behind his mother's death.

Initially, he intended to take revenge, but Ji Young managed to prevent him from doing so. Meanwhile, episode 12 has a more horrific story. Grand Prince Jesan and Concubine Kang Mok Ju plot a rebellion. They attack the king's men and place Lee Heon's younger brother on the throne.

A fierce battle between King Lee Heon and Prince Jesan was inevitable. At the final mom ent, Ji Young was killed protecting the king. This episode is truly one of the most tense in the entire series. Love, politics, and tragedy all blend together.

The party scene showcases Ji Young's creativity, while Lee Heon's masked dance shows his softer side. However, everything is quickly shattered by betrayal and an old secret. The episode's pace is fast, with emotions riding a roller coaster.

On the other hand, this episode served as a warm-up for the finale. Prince Jesan's coup d'etat destroyed Lee Heon's image in the eyes of the public. Episode 12, the finale, is also full of betrayals, terrifying duels, and emotional moments.

In the first half, we were moved to tears by Ji Young's death saving the king. Even the moment Lee Heon cried over her body was incredibly poignant. However, the story takes a sweet turn in the second half.

This drama provides a sweet conclusion to a time-traveling love story between the royal era and the modern world. While not perfect, this finale still manages to capture the themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and food as the language of love that are hard to forget.

Overall, the acting of the two main actors is truly commendable. Yoona brings new color to the king's dark world through her cheerful character, Ji Young. On the other hand, Lee Chae Min, who was initially doubted, managed to impress many viewers.
This proves that, as a young, up-and-coming actor, her acting skills are no slouch. Their chemistry, from enemies to lovers, also successfully captivated viewers. There's both romantic comedy and emotional elements to their story.

Lastly, if you like historical dramas with a touch of time travel and the culinary world, Bon Appétit Your Majesty is the perfect recommendation. For those who have watched it, what is your rating for this saeguk drama?
