BLACKPINK's Rosé has finally spoken out after allegedly experiencing racism at Paris Fashion Week 2026. Rose shared several photos from the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show she attended in Paris.
In an Instagram post, Rose penned a sweet message to creative director Anthony Vaccarello. "Thank you for inviting me to another amazing show. Your work is so beautiful. Love you," Rose wrote, seen on Sunday (October 5, 2025).
The post comes just days after widespread public criticism of Elle UK magazine. At an event last Monday, Rose was photographed with Hailey Bieber, Zoe Kravitz, and Charli XCX.
But what made fans angry was that Elle UK actually cut Rose's part from the photo when uploading it on social media, unlike other media which showed the full version. The move immediately sparked a fierce outcry from fans.
Many viewed Elle UK's decision to remove the only Asian star from the photo as discrimination and a lack of representation in the international fashion world. Rose has been a global ambassador for Saint Laurent since 2020 and is recognized as one of the most influential icons in global luxury fashion.
Many critics also believe Elle UK's actions reflect persistent bias in a fashion industry that should be more inclusive. However, amidst the controversy, Rose chose to remain elegant and composed.
She didn't address the incident directly, instead emphasizing her respect and love for Saint Laurent and the creative team behind the fashion show. Beyond fashion, Rosé's influence is also significant in the international music industry.
Last year, her collaboration with Bruno Mars on the song "APT." was a huge success and even won Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards, making her the first K-pop artist to ever take home the award.
