South Korean actor Choi Hyun Wook apologized for throwing the ball too hard and endangering the child who was batting. He made the apology via his Bubble account on Friday October 10, 2025. 

In his apology, Hyun Wook explained that he knew he should have thrown the ball slower, especially since his pitch was very close to the young batter. However, due to his nervousness, he made the mistake. For that, he apologized. 

Choi Hyun Wook explained that he was thrilled to be able to watch a baseball game live after a long time. It made him nervous, and he missed the ball he threw. He also assured that he wanted to apologize in person to his son and his parents if possible. 

Previously, an incident occurred during a baseball game between the SSG Landers and the Samsung Lions on October 9, 2025. Hyun Wook, who was present as the ceremonial pitcher, nearly injured a child who was batting. This was because he threw the ball too hard. 

Following the incident, Choi Hyun Wook immediately received harsh criticism on social media. Furthermore, he immediately left the scene without acknowledging the child's condition or apologizing directly to her.
