Jay Park is currently a hot topic among K-Pop fans. The American rapper and singer-songwriter made a blunder at W Korea magazine's Love Your W 2025 breast cancer awareness campaign.

The event, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul on Wednesday October 15, 2025, was attended by a lineup of big stars, including BTS's RM, j-hope, and V, Stray Kids' Bang Chan and Seungmin, TXT's Soobin, and the group aespa.

A-list actors Lee Min Ho, Lee Dong Hwi, and Lee Soo Hyuk were also in attendance. However, amidst the excitement of the charity event, Jay Park's moment became the center of attention. In an impromptu session, Jay Park—who arrived on crutches due to a leg injury—was asked to perform.

He chose to perform his 2015 hit, " Mommae." The issue arose because the song was known for its vulgar and sexually suggestive lyrics, including references to breasts. The song was deemed inappropriate for an event aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer.

Criticism intensified after the official W Korea account posted a video of Jay Park's performance to Instagram. Netizens questioned the decision of both the artist and the event organizers. "Why would a song like that be performed at a breast cancer campaign event? " wrote user X.

" Instead of holding a lavish concert, it would be better to donate the funds directly to patients ," another quipped. Shortly after the video went viral, Jay Park issued an open apology via Instagram Stories, Thursday October 16, 2025.

" If there are cancer patients undergoing treatment who are offended by my appearance, I sincerely apologize. I hope you are healthy," wrote Jay Park. He also emphasized that his appearance was unpaid, and that he agreed to appear because the event had a social purpose.

Despite the controversy, Love Your W continues to carry out its charitable mission. Over the course of two decades, the campaign has raised over 1 billion Won to help breast cancer patients in South Korea.
