SEVENTEEN's new special unit, S.COUPS X MINGYU, has made history by breaking the record for the highest first-week sales of a K-Pop unit album of all time.
According to Hanteo Chart on October 2, 2025, their first mini album titled 'HYPE' VIBES has sold more than 820,000 copies until the fourth day since its release on September 29, 2025.
This figure surpasses the previous record for pre-sales of a K-Pop unit album, which was 787,046 copies. With more than three days remaining in the pre-sales period, excitement for the unit's new record is growing.
HYPE VIBES' success was evident from the first day of its release, with sales of over 600,000 copies, setting a record for the highest first-day sales for a K-Pop unit album.
The album immediately topped the Hanteo Daily Album Chart and also reached number one on Japan's Oricon Daily Album Ranking as of September 30, 2025.
Not only that, on China's largest music platform, QQ Music, this album remained at the top of the Digital Best Album Chart category for EPs for three consecutive days.
