Actor Song Kang officially completed his mandatory military service today, Wednesday (October 1, 2025). He completed his mandatory military service after serving as an active-duty soldier in the South Korean Army for one year and six months.
He previously began his mandatory military service on April 2, 2024, and after nearly two years of military service, the actor is now back in the public eye. Song Kang's return to the South Korean entertainment industry has been eagerly awaited by fans.
The South Korean actor, known for his stunning acting in the drama My Demon, is known to have received a number of offers to star in dramas even before officially completing his military service.
In early July 2025, Song Kang was reportedly offered a role in a new Korean drama titled Four Hands. Namoo Actors, Song Kang's agency, stated that the actor was still considering the offer. Song Kang made his acting debut in 2017 in the drama " The Liar and His Lover ."
His popularity grew after he appeared alongside Han So Hee in the drama 'Nevertheless'. He later appeared in other popular dramas such as Forecasting Love and Weather, My Demon, and Sweet Home.
Song Kang became known as the "son of Netflix" due to his frequent starring roles in the streaming platform's dramas. Having officially completed his military service, fans are now eagerly awaiting Song Kang's appearance in various new acting projects.
