Ju Haknyeon has spoken out for the first time since his removal from the group THE BOYZ by his agency, ONE HUNDRED. His departure was related to allegations that he solicited prostitution while in Japan.

He claimed that an incident on May 29, 2025 led to his removal from THE BOYZ. At the time, Japanese media outlets revealed that Ju Haknyeon was dating a JAV (Japanese Adult Video) actress.

“We went out with a lot of people and when we were drinking together, there was one person there who used to be a JAV actress, Asuka Kirara,” Ju Haknyeon told Billboard. “I met him for the first time there and as far as I know, he had been retired for five to seven years,” he said.

He explained that they talked a lot about transition, especially when he learned Kirara was now focused on the beauty industry. He also suspected that someone there was taking unauthorized photos and selling them to the media.

"As an adult, it's normal to drink and get drunk, right? I'm 27 years old," said Ju Haknyeon. After the photo circulated, THE BOYZ's agency terminated their exclusive contract and filed for damages.

Ju Haknyeon was reluctant to sign the lawsuit due to the unrealistic amount. "I said I didn't want to sign because I didn't agree with the amount of the damages. Realistically, if I paid this money, it would be the end of my life. I'd go bankrupt," said Ju Haknyeon.

Currently, he feels that all local news is only coordinated according to his agency without listening or trying to find the truth. "I want people to know that the company isn't protecting its artists and isn't operating like a proper company.

If I fail in a case I didn't commit, the company will do things like this in the future," said Ju Haknyeon. One Hundred has not yet responded to Ju Haknyeon's statement regarding this case.
