Singer Lee Heeseung spoke for the first time since leaving the group ENHYPEN on March 10, 2026. Despite leaving, he still attended the video call with ENHYPEN that had been scheduled before his departure.
“I’m sure the news is shocking, but I’m fine,” Heeseung told fans. The video call was held to promote ENHYPEN's new album and was announced before his departure. The agency later held the event anyway, mentioning ENHYPEN and Heeseung. "I feel sorry for the members," said Heeseung again.
BELIFT LAB announced Heeseung's departure from ENHYPEN due to differing musical visions. Heeseung himself was scheduled to debut as a solo artist and release his first album. The agency explained that the decision was made after discussions between Heeseung and the members.
Fans protested in front of the HYBE building, demanding Heeseung's return to the group. BELIFT LAB later made a new statement emphasizing that Heeseung did not return to the group because of his decision.
“Heeseung will not be returning to ENHYPEN ,” BELIFT LAB told The Korea Herald. “He (Heeseung) has a clear decision regarding what he wants to achieve and we choose to respect that,” he said.
The agency reportedly made this decision due to ENHYPEN's busy schedule and that it would be best for Heeseung to focus entirely on his solo career. They also hope fans will understand this decision.
