Kim Chaewon will not be participating in LE SSERAFIM's upcoming group activities due to illness. The group was scheduled to release their latest album, PUREFLOW. "Kim Chaewon recently visited the hospital for treatment of neck pain and was advised by the medical team to rest for a while and monitor her recovery," SOURCE MUSIC said on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
The agency explained that the Produce 101 alumnus must rest until he is declared healthy and can resume his normal activities. "Therefore, he will be unable to participate in several announced events, including university festivals, Spotify events, and television music shows. We ask for your understanding," the agency said.
"Our company is committed to supporting our artist's recovery and the future schedule will be adjusted depending on his health," the agency continued. Kim Chaewon herself made appearances on several variety shows to promote their latest album, but those appearances were recorded before she was declared ill.
LE SSERAFIM will release their latest album, PUREFLOW pt. 1, on May 22nd. They will kick off promotions with the song CELEBRATION. In addition to releasing the album, they also continued their promotion with a world tour, taking in the United States, Japan, Europe, and Asia. Unlike previous tours, this time they didn't visit Indonesia.
