South Korean actor, Lee Jae Wook officially began his mandatory military service today. He will serve as an active-duty soldier in the South Korean Army after completing basic training at the recruit training center. 

While no public event was held to mark the occasion, Lee shared a message for his fans via social media. The day before his military enlistment, Lee Jae Wook shared several photos with his new buzz cut. 

In the post, he wrote a short message to fans, promising to stay healthy and return safely. "I will take care of my health and return soon," he wrote. Although Lee Jae Wook will be taking a break from the entertainment industry during his military service, fans won't have to wait too long to see him back on screen. 

Before enlisting, he has already completed filming for several upcoming projects. His upcoming drama, " Doctor on the Edge," is scheduled to premiere on June 1, 2026, while his Netflix series, " Dead-End Job," is set to release later this year.

Lee Jae Wook, who was born in 1998, started his acting career through the drama Memories of the Alhambra which aired on tvN in 2018. Since then, he has managed to establish himself as a rising star through his roles in popular series such as Search: WWW, Extraordinary You, Alchemy of Souls, and Last Summer.
