Ariana Grande joins the list of musicians protesting President Donald Trump's administration for using their songs without permission. On Tuesday (June 9, 2026), the official White House account posted a TikTok video promoting the United States government's immigration tightening policies.

The video featured various footage of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and other officers making arrests. The video uses Ariana Grande's song 'Bye' as background music.

"Bye-bye! President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history," the White House account wrote in the video's caption, referring to the song from the album 'Eternal Sunshine'. Ariana then responded to the action in the comments column on Thursday (June 11, 2026).

"Please don't ever use my music for something as barbaric, inhumane, and horrific as this. F*ck ICE," she wrote. After his comments went viral, the song was eventually muted from the TikTok video.

Ariana isn't the first musician to protest the Trump administration's use of their work since the start of his second term. Last December 2025, Sabrina Carpenter also reacted after her song, "Juno," was used in a video promoting ICE arrests of immigrants.

"Have you tried this one? Bye-bye," wrote the White House account on platform X at the time, quoting the song's lyrics. Sabrina Carpenter also responded with harsh criticism. "This video is evil and disgusting. Don't ever involve me or my music to support your inhumane agenda," wrote the singer of 'Please Please Please'.
