"BOYS II PLANET" Contestant Taichi Officially Comes Out as Gay, Telling the Story of His Struggles in the K-Pop World

Taichi, a former JYP Entertainment trainee and star of Boys II Planet, recently officially revealed that he is gay. In a video on his YouTube channel, Taichi shared his life story and how he struggled to be accepted in the competitive K-Pop industry.

Taichi, who previously competed on Nizi Project Season 2, was unsuccessful in his debut through the show and ultimately joined Boys II Planet. Despite being eliminated in 95th place overall, Taichi demonstrated a strong desire to continue creating and sharing his experiences with fans.

In his latest video, Taichi invited Miura Sodai, a former Nizi Project competitor who is now a composer. During their conversation, Taichi asked Miura if he ever suspected he was gay. Miura admitted he had, but that it didn't affect their friendship.

Taichi also shared the various ways he tries to appear "not gay." He revealed that he listens to Stray Kids songs to create a masculine image and strives to be a strong-looking idol like BTS . "I feel like I have to be a masculine and hip idol," he said.

With the courage to be open about his identity, Taichi found his niche in the entertainment world. He expressed his gratitude for being able to share his story and inspire so many. "I want people to know that they don't have to hide who they are," he said.

Taichi now has a YouTube channel where he shares information about his life and relationship with his girlfriend. He hopes to reach more fans and create an inclusive community for those who may feel isolated.

With Taichi's actions, many fans hope that the K-pop industry will become more open and accepting of diversity. Support from fellow idols and fans is expected to create a more positive environment for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation.
