SEVENTEEN's DK and Vernon will soon be enlisting in the military. PLEDIS Entertainment announced that DK will enlist on September 8, 2026, while Vernon will begin his service on August 20, 2026.
In an official statement released via Weverse, PLEDIS Entertainment stated, "DK is scheduled to enlist for active duty in the Army on September 8, 2026. He will participate in all official activities prior to his enlistment.
We respect that many enlistees and their families will be present at the enlistment ceremony, therefore we ask that fans refrain from visiting the location on the day of his enlistment." Furthermore, Vernon will also be involved in all official activities before beginning his military service.
"Vernon will begin his military service on August 20th. We also ask fans to refrain from attending his enlistment ceremony, as well as his alternate service location," the statement added. After they begin their military service, DK and Vernon will not be able to participate in SEVENTEEN's activities.
However, they will remain connected with CARAT, SEVENTEEN's official fan club, through various pre-prepared content. PLEDIS also asked fans to send farewell messages and support to the members on Weverse.
PLEDIS Entertainment emphasized, "We ask for your continued support and love for DK and Vernon until they complete their military service and return in good health. We will continue to support our artists every step of the way."
