According to The Hollywood Reporter, this success is predicted to overtake Spider-Man: No Way Home as the Spider-Man film with the biggest opening weekend.
The 2021 film previously earned a domestic opening of US$260.1 million and ended its global run with a total of around US$1.9 billion.
Not only did Spider-Man: Brand New Day excel in terms of revenue, it also received a positive response, earning an A CinemaScore. The film holds a 90 percent approval rating from critics and a 98 percent approval rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
This film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, tells the story of Peter Parker, who must navigate life without those closest to him after various major events. In this situation, he faces a new threat from a mysterious enemy who is hunting him.

The Odyssey dropped to second place with an additional $51 million, while Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, and the live-action version of Moana rounded out the top five highest-grossing films in North America.
