OPPO will launch its latest K-series smartphone, called the K9 in China on May 6. The event is scheduled for 3 pm local time (12:30 pm IST). The brand has shared a poster of the handset's rear panel, revealing its silver-gray shade and triple camera module. It is also reported to support 65W fast-charging.
The OPPO K9 handset is rumored to bear a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. Dimensions-wise, it is reported to measure around 159.1x73.4x7.9mm. The phone is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 870/Dimensity 1100 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM.
The OPPO K9 will feature a punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure authentication of biometric data. On the rear, it will sport a "09-K Super Performance" branding and house a triple camera setup.
The OPPO K9 will come with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP main sensor. Details regarding the other two lenses and the selfie camera are unknown at the moment.
It may boot Android 11-based ColorOS 11 and pack a 2,100mAh (dual-cell) battery with 65W fast-charging support. The device should also offer support for all the latest connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 5G, and a Type-C port.
Details regarding the pricing and availability of the OPPO K9 should be announced at the May 6 launch event in China. The OPPO Enco TWS earbuds are also expected to debut at the event.
