Google Pixel 5A 5G was unveiled as the new affordable 5G smartphone from the Alphabet-owned tech Giant. It was revealed as the successor of Pixel 4a 5G that debuted last year in August. The Pixel 5A 5G comes with a Snapdragon octa-core 5G chipset, OLED display, dual rear camera, water resistance rating, and more.
Google Pixel 5A 5G features a 6.34 inches OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and Full-HD+ resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone comes powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. It is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera department, the smartphone boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 12.2-megapixel primary sensor, and a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top left corner. The device is running on Android 11 OS and it comes with three year OS and security patches upgrades.
The smartphone comes equipped with a 4680mah battery and Google claimed that it can provide full-day battery life in typical usage and in extreme battery mode it can last up to two days and the company also bundled an 18W fast charger in the box and it is the last smartphone from the company that will come with inbox charger. Additionally, the handset comes with a rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor, IP67 water resistance rating and more.
As per the news report, Google Pixel 5A 5G comes in a sole configuration of 6GB + 128GB priced at $449 and a single mostly black color option. The smartphone will go for sale in Japan and the US from August onwards and interested users can buy through Google store, and Google Fi exclusively.
