Motorola has just announced a new G-series smartphone called the Moto G51 in the Chinese market. It is the successor to the Moto G50 that was launched earlier this year 2021. The key highlights are a large 6.8-inch 120Hz display, 8GB of RAM, a 50MP triple rear camera module, and a massive 5,000mAh battery. It is the first smartphone that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset.

The Moto G51 features a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. There is also a punch-hole cutout on the screen for a selfie camera. On the rear penal, users get a triple camera module and a physical fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, it comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC that CPU’s clock speeds up to 2.2GHz. The chipset is also paired with Adreno 619 GPU, 5G Modem, and 8GB of RAM.

The dual-SIM supporting Moto G51 runs on Android 11 OS with MYUI 2.0 on the top. It brings 128GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card. As for the camera, it bears a triple camera unit on the backside that houses a 50MP S5JKN1 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth shooter. For selfies and video calling, it offers a 13MP front-facing camera. 

In terms of battery, the Moto G51 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging technology. The smartphone is equipped with Dolby Atmos speakers. For connectivity options, the handset includes 5G networks on both SIMs, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.2, a USB Type-C port, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack

The Moto G51 has been priced in China at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 17,500) for the lone 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage model. The handset is currently available in China. However, details regarding its availability for other markets are still unknown. The phone comes in two color options, i.e. Blue and Grey Gradient.
