Xiaomi announced a flagship smartphone, called the Xiaomi 12 Pro in China today. The smartphone is very similar to the Xiaomi 12 in some ways, but they’re not the same, not at all. Talking about the key highlights, it offers a larger and sharper display, along with some other goodies. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer on the specs side of things.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone comes with a 6.73-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1,440x3,200 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. At the heart, the handset runs on Android 11 OS and is powered by a 4,600mAh battery with supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture; a 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.9 aperture, and a 50-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor. The front camera also features autofocus.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro runs MIUI 13 is based on Android 11 OS operating system and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, The handset measures 163.60 x 74.60 x 8.16mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 205.00 grams.
Connectivity options on the Xiaomi 12 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks). Sensors on the handset include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer. The device will be available in black, blue, or purple glass variants, or green vegan leather.
