iQOO has launched a new Z-series smartphone called iQOO Z5x in China. The iQOO Z5x is a mid-range smartphone that comes with a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. It packs up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

The iQOO Z5x flaunts a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a water-drop-shaped notch to include the selfie camera. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 processor. It has 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. The smartphone boots Android 11 OS out of the box.

In rerms of cameras, the iQOO Z5x on the rear packs a dual camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, featuring an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. 

The iQOO Z5x is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Coming to the connectivity features, the smartphone has a dual-SIM card slot, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port. The handset also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader embedded into the power button.

The iQOO Z5x price starts at CNY 1,599 in China for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,699, while the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 1,899. The smartphone will go on presale in China starting today (October 20). iQOO has not divulged any plans for the global launch of the iQOO Z5.
