Motorola Edge 2021 was announced a few days ago in Europe and India and now the company has unveiled the smartphone in the U.S as well. It is the successor to the Motorola Edge that was revealed last year with Snapdragon 765G chipset, 90Hz AMOLED display, a 4500mah battery, 64MP triple rear camera, and more.
Motorola Edge 2021 features 6.8 inches LCD display with a 144Hz fast refresh rate, 576Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR 10 support. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a Snapdragon 778G octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Adreno 642L GPU. It is accompanied by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of non-expandable internal storage. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 169 x 75.6 x 8.99mm and weighs 200 grams.
In terms of camera, the Motorola Edge 2021 boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 119-degree Field oF View with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel with depth sensor f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone sports a 32-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top center. The device is running on Android 11 with My UX on top.
The Motorola Edge 2021 comes equipped with a 5000mah battery and supports 30W fast charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard, the handset sports Proximity, Ambient Light, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetometer (compass), Barometer. Additionally, the device comes with a single bottom-firing speaker, three microphones, IP52 rating, and more.
As for pricing and availability, the Motorola Edge 2021 comes in a solo configuration of 8GB + 256GB priced at $699 and it is on sale for just $499 for a limited period of time and the company offered the smartphone in Nebula Blue color options. The users can pre-order or register from the Motorola website in the U.S.
