BELIFT LAB surprised the public with their latest announcement. Heeseung has announced his departure from the group ENHYPEN to focus on his solo career. "BELIFT LAB has put a lot of thought into ENHYPEN's future direction and goals.
Through discussions with each member about their desired future, it became clear that Heeseung has his own musical vision, and we respect that," BELIFT LAB said on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
“Because of that, Heeseung will be parting ways with ENHYPEN and ENHYPEN will continue official activities as a six-member group,” he said. The agency explained that this decision was made after extensive discussions with the members, including Heeseung.
They also took note of the fan response following the announcement. “However, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and Heeseung,” BELIFT LAB said.
“Heeseung will be preparing a solo album as a singer under BELIFT LAB,” BELIFT LAB explained regarding Heeseung’s future plans. "We ask for ENGENE's love and support going forward to support ENHYPEN and Heeseung as they embark on their journey. Thank you," he said.
Heeseung was a contestant on the Mnet-produced program I-Land in collaboration with HYBE. Seven members were selected as the official lineup for the group: Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Ni-Ki, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Sunoo.
