South Korean tech giant, Samsung has finally announced the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. This new affordable smartphone flaunts a 6.4-inch Dynamic OLED display with a punch-hole-shaped cutout, Full HD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. In most regions, including the European market, the device will ship with the Snapdragon 888 processor. In most Asian markets, the handset will use Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2100 processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a 6.4-inch Dynamic OLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole-shaped cutout for the selfie camera. As mentioned earlier, the European market gets the Snapdragon 888 version of the phone. The Exynos 2200 version of the phone will be available in Asian markets, including India. the device will debut with Exynos 2100 SoC. The base variant has 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and the pricier variant has 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 12MP ultrawide camera (F2.2 aperture), a 12MP primary camera (F1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel AF, OIS), and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom (F2.4 Aperture, OIS). On the front, the smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera (F2.2 Aperture). The handset runs Android 12-based One UI 4.0 out of the box. 

Samsung promises three major Android OS updates, which means that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will get the Android 15 update in the future. The phone features Samsung DeX and Samsung DeX Wireless. Samsung is powering the Galaxy S21 FE with a 4,500mAh battery. It supports 25W fast wired charging, but there’s no charger in the box. The phone also features 15W fast wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

Other features of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE include stereo speakers, an in-display optical fingerprint reader, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity features of the smartphone include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. dimensions-wise, the device measures 74.5×155.7×7.9mm in terms of dimensions and weighs 177g.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be released in select markets on January 11, 2022. The base variant of the smartphone has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at $699 (around ₹52,000). The variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at $749 (around ₹55,800). It comes in White, Lavender, Graphite, and Olive colour variants. The handset will soon be released in India, and Samsung India has started teasing the phone on social media.
