Infinix Mobile is gearing up to announce its flagship smartphone, called the Zero 5G, in India, on February 14. Ahead of the launch, the company has officially unveiled the handset in Nigeria. It carries a price-tag of Nigerian Naira 1,69,500 (roughly Rs . 30,500). It features an IPS LCD screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip, a 48MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Zero 5G is the first 5G device from Infinix. The Hong Kong-based smartphone maker has always been present in the budget segment, but with its new offering, the company aims to make its mark in the mid-range segment. The phone has a design similar to that of the OPPO Find X3 Pro and claims to be the fastest 5G handset in the segment.

The Infinix Zero 5G bears a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2460 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 500-nits of peak brightness. Dimensions-wise, it is 8.7mm thick and weighs 199 grams. The smartphone sports a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has an elevated camera bump.

Under the hood, the Infinix Zero 5G is fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the front software, it boots Android 11-based XOS 10 out of the box. For connectivity, the smartphone offers support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Type-C port.

As far sa the cameras are concerned, the Infinix Zero 5G flaunts a triple rear camera module, comprising a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP telephoto snapper with 2x optical zoom, and a 2MP depth lens. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter. The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.

For pricing and availability, the Infinix Zero 5G is priced at NGN 1,69,500 (around Rs. 30,500) for the sole 8GB/128GB variant. The smartphone is offered in Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange color options. In India, the handset will be priced under Rs. 20,000, as per company CEO Anish Kapoor. It will be up for grabs via e-commerce platform website Flipkart.
