Tecno Mobile’s latest Pop-series smartphone has been announced in Mexico, called Tecno Pop 5S. It is an entry-level smartphone such as other Pop-series smartphones, Pop 5, Pop 5 Pro, and Pop 5x. The handset comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ LCD display, quad-core Unisoc SC 98632E SoC, a dual-rear camera setup, and a 3,020mAh battery.
Let’s check its specs and features details, the Tecno Pop 5S brings a 5.7-inch HD+ LCD display with thin bezels. The display carries 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. On the Operating System, it runs on Android 10 (Go Edition) out of the box. The front penal comes with a tear-drop notch and the back penal has a curved-rectangular shaped camera module.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Tecno Pop 5S has arrived with a dual-camera setup on the backside that houses a 5MP primary camera and a QVGA secondary camera. The rear camera module also gets a LED flash. Speaking about the front side, the smartphone has a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
In terms of battery, the Tecno Pop 5S is powered by a 3,020mAh battery that can be charged through a micro-USB port. Dimension-wise, the smartphone measures 148 x 72.3 x 9.9mm and weighs around 160grams. Unfortunately, the fingerprint sensor is missing from the phone, though, the company has provided face unlock feature.
On the SoC front, there is a quad-core Unisoc 986332E SoC which is clocked at 1.4GHz CPU. The handset is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For more storage, users can expand its storage capacity via a microSD card. The smartphone has all useful connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, GPRS, and a micro-USB port. Onboard sensors are g-sensor and proximity sensor.
For official pricing and availability, the Tecno Pop 5S has been launched in Mexico that has been priced at MXN 2,239 (approximately Rs. 8,100) for the single 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant. The smartphone is available in two color options, i.e. Light Purple and Deep Blue.
