Realme will start selling its 9 Pro+ 5G model in India today via e-commerce platform website Flipkart from 12pm. The device was launched last week alongside the 9 Pro, which will be available from February 23. The Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G carries a starting price-tag of Rs. 24,999 for the base 6GB/128GB variant. It features a 90Hz AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, and triple rear cameras.
The Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G offers premium features at a mid-range price-point. It will attract customers with a unique 'Light Shifting' design, an in-display fingerprint sensor which can also track heart rate, Dynamic RAM Expansion, a vapor chamber cooling system, and 60W fast-charging support, among other highlights. The handset will rival the likes of Samsung Galaxy A52s, Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge, and Motorola Edge 20.
The Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G bears a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone features a left-aligned punch-hole design with slim bezels, a prominent bottom bezel, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. At the back, it has a triple camera setup.
In terms of optics, the Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G sports a triple rear camera module, comprising a 50MP (f/1.8) Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide snapper, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth shooter. On the front, it flaunts a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie camera. The smartphone packs a 4,500mAh battery with 60W fast-charging support.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. At the heart, it boots Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box. For connectivity options, the handset offers support for Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, GPS, and a Type-C port.
For pricing and availability in India, the Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G costs Rs. 24,999 for the base 6GB/128GB model, Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB/128GB version, and Rs. 28,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant. The handset comes in Aurora Green, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Blue colors. The device will go on sale today from 12pm onward via e-commerce platform website Flipkart. Buyers will be able to avail a discount of Rs. 2,000 with HDFC Bank cards.
