Chinese tech company, Realme had launched its premium 9 Pro series of handsets in India on February 16. Now, the vanilla 9 Pro is all set to go on sale today at 12pm via Realme.com and Flipkart. It starts at Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB/128GB model. Buyers can avail a discount of Rs. 2,000 using HDFC credit and debit cards or Rs. 600 off through MobiKwik transactions.
The Realme 9 Pro series includes the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ smartphones. They join the 9i model which was announced in India last month. The 9 Pro+ had gone on sale on February 21 and today, the regular 9 Pro will become available for purchase. The device will attract customers with its "Light Shifting" design, 5G connectivity, a 120Hz screen, and other features.
The Realme 9 Pro bears a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone sports a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a rectangular camera unit.
In terms of optics, the Realme 9 Pro is equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) main shooter, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens. Up front, it sports a 16MP (f/2.1) snapper for selfies and video calls. On the front software, it boots Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 OS out of the box.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C port.
For official pricign and availability, the Realme 9 Pro carries a price-tag of Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB/128GB model and Rs. 20,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. It is offered in Aurora Green, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Blue color options. The smartphone will be up for grabs via Realme.com and e-commerce platform website Flipkart starting today.
