Lenovo sub-owned brand, Motorola is gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphone, called the Edge 30 Pro, globally and in India on February 24. In the latest development, the pricing of the handset in India has surfaced courtesy of 91mobiles. The device will have a market price of Rs. 50,000 and it will cost Rs. 45,000 after bank offer.
Speculations and leaks about the Motorola Edge 30 Pro have been rife in the past. Now, with only a day left for its launch, the price of the smartphone has come out as well. A sub-Rs. 50,000 price will make it the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered device and will take the competition to rival flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy S22.
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will bear a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a 576Hz touch sampling rate. The handset will feature a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will sport an oval camera unit.
In terms of optics, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, comprising a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it will sport a 60MP snapper for selfies and video calls. On the front software, it will run on Android 12-based MyUI custom skin OS out of the box.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro will draw juice from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, mated with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The smartphone pack a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the handset will offer support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and a Type-C port.
For pricing and availability, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is tipped to be priced at Rs. 50,000 for the sole 8GB/128GB model. The smartphone will available in Cosmic Blue color option in India. The effective price of the handset will be Rs. 45,000 after a bank offer. It is expected to go on sale from February 25 via e-commerce platform website Flipkart.
