Song Kang has been unveiled as the newest endorser of Penshoppe. The local fashion brand launched its "Retro Pop" campaign on Saturday Febuary 19, and the video featured none other than the South Korean actor. "It’s the butterfly effect," Penshoppe said on its official Twitter account. "Say hi to TEAM PENSHOPPE’S newest endorser, Song Kang!"

"I was able to try on various styles that I like and introduce them to my Filipino fans," Song said in a statement, talking about his collaboration with the brand. He said he was also "grateful for all the love and support" of his Filipino fans. South Korean celebrities who previously represented Penshoppe include Blackpink's Lisa, Astro's Cha Eun-woo, actor Nam Joo-Hyuk, Ji Soo, and former 2NE1 member Sandara Park.

Upon his “Love Alarm” director’s recommendation, Song was soon cast as the lead in the apocalyptic horror “Sweet Home,” where he and his fellow tenants in an apartment building attempt to survive the dystopia outside. The Netflix-produced show also proved to be incredibly successful for the platform, and earned Song a nomination for Best New Actor at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

His current project is “Forecasting Love and Weather,” a workplace drama set in the Korean Meteorological Agency. His onscreen partner this time, is an ace of her own: Park Min-young, widely known as the queen of romantic comedies. At the press conference for the show, Park expressed her enthusiasm in working with the younger actor.
