Tecno Mobile has launched a new smartphone under its Spark 8 series – called the Tecno Spark 8C in the Indian market today. The handset was launched last month in Nigeria. As for the key highlights, the Tecno Spark 8C is an entry-level smartphone and is powered by a UniSoC processor. It offers a dual-rear camera setup, a large HD+ display and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Spark 8C flaunts a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display with a 720 × 1,612-pixel resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core UniSoC T606 processor and a Mali G57 GPU. The handset brings with it 64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. The device also supports 3GB of virtual RAM. The handset comes with a waterdrop notch that houses the front selfie shooter.
In terms of optics, the Tecno Spark 8C offers a dual-rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary shooter on the device is a 13MP shooter with a 77.3-degree field of view and an f/1.8 aperture. It gets accompanied by an AI lens. The smartphone relies on an 8MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. On the front software, the smartphone comes pre-loaded with HiOS 7.6.
The Tecno Spark 8C is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit. Tecno has not revealed the charging speed of the device. The smartphone also offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and DTS stereo sound. The handset also features IPX2 splash-resistant rating. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 164.57 × 76 × 8.95mm.
For pricing and availability, the Spark 8C comes in one configuration – 3GB + 64GB and is priced at Rs 7,499 and the company offered the smartphone in four colors namely Magnet Black, Iris Purple, Diamond Grey and Turquoise Cyan. The device will be available for purchase starting February 24th exclusively via e-commerce platform website amazon.in.
