Tecno Spark 8C was announced in India as the new entry level smartphone from the Chinese tech company. The handset was already revealed in Nigeria last month. The device comes with fast refresh rate waterdrop notch display, Unisoc octa-core chipset, dual rear camera, big battery, and more. The brand already have other offering including Spark 8P, Spark 8T, and Spark 8 Pro in the Tecno Spark 8 series.
Tecno Spark 8C features a 6.6 inches IPS LCD display with 90Hz fast refresh rate, 89.3% screen to body ratio, 269PPI Pixel Density and an HD+ ( 720 x 1612 pixels ) resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T606 octa-core SoC that comes paired with Mali G57 MP1 GPU. The device is paired with 3GB of RAM extended by 3GB virtual RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Tecno Spark 8C boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and an AI lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch.The handset is backed by a 5000mah battery and supports 10W charging.
The Tecno Spark 8C comes running on Android 11 out of the box with HiOS 7.6 skin on top. Additionally, the smartphone includes DTS surround sound, IPX2 Splash Resistant, 3-in-1 SIM slot, Soplay 2.0, Game mode, kids mode, 3.5mm headphone jack, and fingerprint sensor mounted with the rear camera module. The company states that the handset grabs an ANTUTU score of 144753.
For official pricing and availability, the Tecno Spark 8C comes at a price of Rs 7,499. The Chinese tech company offered the smartphone in four colors namely Magnet Black, Iris Purple, Diamond Grey and Turquoise Cyan. The handset will go for sale on 24th February via e-commerce platform website Amazon India.
