Vivo's sub-brand, iQOO is gearing up to launch a new Neo series device, called the Neo 6. Now, specifications of the smartphone have surfaced online courtesy of a tipster's post on Weibo. The leaked specifications, however, contradict a Google Play Console listing from December. As per the latest leak, the handset will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and a 4,700mAh battery.

iQOO's upcoming mid-range smartphone, called the Neo 6, is unlike any device in the segment if rumors are to be believed. It looks like a "flagship killer" by all standards. Earlier rumors had suggested that the handset will be backed by a Snapdragon 888 chip, but the latest leak contradicts that. We can expect more details to come out soon and clarify the confusion.

The iQOO Neo 6 shall bear a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is likely to feature a punch-hole display with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication. On the rear, it may sport a triple camera unit.

In terms of optics, the iQOO Neo 6 is expected to flaunt a triple rear camera module. However, details regarding the camera specifications are scarce as of now. Up front, it will sport a single selfie snapper. The smartphone may boot Android 11-based Funtouch OS 12/OriginOS (depending on the market)

Under the hood, the iQOO Neo 6 should be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The handset may pack a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast-charging support. The smartphone should offer support for 5G, Wi-Fi, and a Type-C port.

The official pricing and availability details of the iQOO Neo 6 smartphone will be announced by the Chinese tech company at the time of its launch. However, we expect it to start at around Rs. 30,000 (approximately $390.83). The handset should comes in  Black, Blue, and Orange color options
