BTS's V has tested positive for COVID-19. The news was conveyed by BIGHIT Music through a statement uploaded on Weverse. V experienced symptoms of a sore throat on the afternoon of February 15. He was then taken to the hospital and underwent a PCR test. The test results showed that the BTS member was positive for COVID-19.

"V went to the hospital on Tuesday Februay 15, afternoon after experiencing a sore throat. He then underwent a PCR test and tested positive for COVID-19 tonight," said BIGHIT Music. "V has undergone two COVID-19 vaccinations. He has no serious symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat.

He is currently undergoing treatment at home and waiting for other directions from the medical side," he continued. BIGHIT Music said V met with the BTS members on February 12, 2022. The members then underwent a test after V tested positive for COVID-19 and tested negative. "V met with the members on Saturday, February 12.

But the members wore masks and there was no close contact," explained BIGHIT Music. "None of the BTS members except V showed symptoms. All members have also gotten negative results while undergoing tests," he added. At the end of the statement, BIGHIT Music confirmed that it would prioritize the health and safety of BTS members.

They will also do their best to help V recover. Previously, Jimin BTS tested positive for COVID-19 and had appendicitis. The idol underwent an appendectomy and had to be hospitalized for several days. V and Jimin are not the first BTS members to test positive for COVID-19.

Previously, Suga, RM, and Jin tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from their activities in the United States. Meanwhile, currently the BTS members are still preparing to hold the Permission to Dance: On Stage concert in Seoul. If nothing changes, the concert will be held in March 2022.
