ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo will be a special MC on a music show hosted by MBC Music Core. Reported by one of the South Korean media The Daily Sports, on May 19, 2022 MBC announced Cha Eun Woo will replace NCT's Jungwoo for this week.
The change was made temporarily because currently Jungwoo is following his group activities NCT 127 to hold the NEO CITY: JAPAN - THE LINK concert in Japan on May 22, 2022 at Vantelin Dome Nagoya, May 28-29 2022 at Tokyo Dome, and June 25-26 2022 at Kyocera Dome Osaka.
Cha Eun Woo, the 1997-born idol, was appointed by MBC due to his steady progress as an MC in the past. Previously, Cha Eun Woo had indeed been an MC on the music show from 2016 to early 2018 with Kim Sae Ron, Lee Soo Min, and PRISTIN's Xiyeon.
In addition, he has also been an MC at the MBC Gayo Daejejeon event with SNSD's Yoona and EXO's Suho in 2019, KBS Song Festival 2021 with Seolhyun, and SF9's Rowoon. And at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards with Shin Dong Yup and Lee Seung Gi. Not only that, there are other events hosted by the singer and actress.
So, don't be surprised if his ability as an MC is unquestionable. MBC's Music Core MCs were previously filled by NCT's Jungwoo, Kim Min Ju , and Stray Kids' Reno since August 2021 until now. So, this week's music program will be hosted by ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, Kim Min Ju, and Stray Kids' Reno.
This week's MBC Music Core broadcast will be attended by performances from Hyoyeon, Yerin, Astro, AB6IX, Oneus, TNX, Jeong Sewoon, Verivery, Classi, DKB, Elast, Cypher, T1419, Ichilyn, and Busters. Hyoyeon, AB6IX, and Oneus will make a comeback on May 21. Yerin will be making her solo debut and TNX, the new group from P Nation will also be debuting on MBC's Music Core stage.
