SM Entertainment reported that NCT 's Jungwoo was confirmed positive for the corona virus or Covid-19. He said the swab test result of the Kick It singer was positive after returning from Japan. NCT's Jungwoo had indeed been in Japan to do a concert tour there with the NCT 127 unit .
"NCT's Jungwoo was diagnosed with Covid-19 today. Jungwoo tested negative on the PCR test he underwent before leaving Japan," SM Entertainment said as quoted by Soompi on Wednesday June 6, 2022. "But according to Covid-19 regulations, he underwent another PCR test after returning to Korea, and the test result came back positive," he continued.
Luckily, NCT's Jungwoo doesn't have any symptoms of Covid-19. The agency said the artist had undergone a booster injection. "Jungwoo previously received three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and currently he is not showing any specific symptoms," he explained.
Now, Jungwoo NCT's schedule has been officially canceled. He will also be in self-isolation. "Currently, he has suspended all scheduled activities and is self-isolating in accordance with the guidelines of the government's health authorities," said SM Entertainment.
Regarding the fate of the other members, SM Entertainment confirmed that they were negative for the corona virus. "All the other NCT 127 members apart from Jungwoo tested negative on the PCR tests they underwent after their arrival in Korea," said SM Entertainment. The agency that also oversees EXO said that the artist's health was the main focus.
Therefore, they hope that NCT's Jungwoo can recover as soon as possible.
