Be the fifth song to achieve it, IU 's " Blueming " hits 100 million streams on Spotify . Quoting from the Allkpop page, Tuesday September 27, 2022, IU's song Blueming has successfully won 100 million streams on the Spotify music platform. Released on November 18, 2019 as the second single from IU's third mini album Love Poem, the song "Blueming" achieved 100 million streams in two years and 10 months.
"Blueming" is not IU's first song to do so, but is the fifth song to reach the 100 million stream mark on Spotify after "Eight (Prod.&Feat. SUGA of BTS)", "BBIBBI", "LILAC", and "Celebrity." With this impressive achievement, IU extends her record as a female K-Pop solo artist with the most songs to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify.
The song "Blueming" carries the electro pop rock genre with a dynamic band sound. The owner of the real name Lee Ji Eun also took part in the composition and writing of the lyrics. Interestingly, this song is also presented in the form of a music video featuring IU with her blue hair. Recently, IU successfully held her solo concert titled "The Golden Hour" on September 17 and 18 at Jamsil Olympic Stadium, Seoul.
Interestingly, IU became the first female K-Pop singer to hold a concert at the stadium. IU's concert was held majestically and looked very spoiled for the eyes of her fans with her fireworks and drone shows. One of the most historic moments was when IU performed the song "Strawberry Moon" while riding a hot air balloon.
Her dazzling visuals coupled with IU's sweet voice, fans seemed to be anesthetized the entire time the concert was running. This 29-year-old soloist has specially prepared hot air balloons in his performance to get closer to the UAENAs (as IU's fans are called) as high as the third floor so that fans don't find it difficult to see him firsthand.
Not only that, IU is also known to provide food and pillows at her concerts for her fans. Wow, so cute isn't it? A number of Korean celebrities, both singers and actors/actresses, were also caught watching IU's concert. Call it Jungkook BTS, Beomgyu and Soobin TXT, Kim Soo Hyun, Umji VIVIZ, Jeongyeon TWICE, and many more. Congratulations to IU!
