South Korean actor, Lee Jung Jae will be starring in a Hollywood series. He is confirmed to be the main star in the Star Wars series, The Acolyte. The Acolyte will later air on Disney+ Hotstar. The series will also star Amandla Stenberg, who plays the female lead, and Jodie Turner Smith.
Leslye Headland, previously successful with Russian Doll, will serve as showrunner, director, writer and executive producer for The Acolyte. Quoted from Variety, The Acolyte takes place before the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. The series depicts a galaxy at the height of the High Republic era.
