Lee Jung Jae was confirmed to join the Star Wars universe through the series The Acolyte. He will compete with a number of Hollywood actors and actresses. Based on the release received by the website, Lee Jung Jae will compete with Amandla Stenberg, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Rebecca Henderson. 

The Acolyte is an original Star Wars mystery thriller series. This series will take the audience to a galaxy that holds a dark secret. The forces of the dark side emerged at the end of the High Republic's reign. A former Padawan reunites with his Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. However, the forces they faced were far more dangerous than they had expected. 

The Acolyte is a series created by creator, showrunner and executive producer Leslye Headland. Production has now started in the UK. Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef served as executive producers, with Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson serving as producers. 

Headland will also direct the first episode of the series. The Acolyte can later be watched on Disney+ Hotstar. Meanwhile, Lee Jung Jae is currently busy with production for the second season of Squid Game. He was confirmed to be Song Gi Hun again with Lee Byung Hun who became Front Man and Gong Yoo.

Previously, there were also rumors that Lee Jung Jae was attracted by Marvel. Many then predicted that the actor would appear in Shang-Chi 2, some even said Lee Jung Jae would become a villain in the film. Regarding this news, Lee Jung Jae personally commented. He denied reports that he would join the MCU.
