BTS is entering the second chapter of their career as musicians, which means that each member will focus on individual activities. Even so, as a group, RM Cs still steals the attention of international music awards. Recording Grammy recently announced the complete list of nominations for the 2023 Grammy Awards.
The name BTS is still one of the nominees along with a number of other top musicians. This year, BTS is nominated in 2 different categories. They received a nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for the song My Universe which is a collaboration with Coldplay and Best Music Video for Yet to Come.
This makes Yet to Come the first Korean song by BTS to be nominated at the Grammy Awards. Previously, they were nominated for English songs such as Dynamite and Butter, as well as collaboration songs. However, BTS was also partnered with Coldplay for the Album of the Year category.
Music of the Spheres, which is Coldplay's latest album released in October 2021, credits BTS as one of the artists who played a role in the creation of the album. J-Hope, RM, and Suga are credited as songwriters on the album Music of the Spheres.
So they are still entitled to get a nomination even though they are not the main musicians. This is the first time a K-Pop musician has been nominated for more than one category at the Grammy Awards. Not only that, BTS also became the first Korean musician to be nominated at the Grammy Awards for 3 consecutive years.
BTS is also officially a musician with 5 Grammy nominations. In 2021 and 2022, they were nominated in one category each which was Pop Duo/Group Performance and three nominations in 2023. The main night of the 2023 Grammy Awards will be held on February 5, 2023 at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, California.
