Launching Koreaboo in August last year 2022, a Korean brand, MLB, announced aespa as their official global ambassador through a promotional campaign for their summer collection. At that time, an error occurred on the MLB website because they did not display Giselle's photo next to the aespa members. Elsewhere, Giselle's name is misspelled as "Gieselle.

"As a result of the mistake, fans took to social media to express their frustration with MLB and the phrase "aespa is four" trended on Twitter. Apparently it doesn't stop there, recently  Koreaboo again announced that a similar incident also occurred on the official MLB Korea Instagram page. 

On February 24, portraits of Karina, Winter, and Ningning were uploaded in separate posts promoting the MLB jacket, while Giselle's photo was nowhere to be found. As a result of this incident, fans started trending on Twitter with the hashtags #GiselleDeservesBetter and #RespectGiselle to get MLB to take notice and correct their mistake. About 17 hours later, a new portrait of Giselle was posted by MLB. 

However, the fans again protested against the brand because they only uploaded one photo of Giselle even though the other members had more than one photo in each post. Unfortunately, MLB isn't the only brand to make this omission. In May last year, CLUBCLIO Japan also failed to include Giselle's image in their Kill Cover Fixer Cushion commercial. 

Meanwhile, the Korea University Festival Instagram account also missed Giselle's photo when they posted individual pictures of the other three aespa members in separate posts. Much earlier, journalists from various media outlets seemed to have mistaken Giselle as part of the aespa staff and blurred her face at the "SBS Gayo Daejeon 2020". 

Unlike the other members, they also don't upload Giselle's individual photos. On the other hand, aespa's agency, SM Entertainment, also did not escape criticism for releasing Giselle's playlist on Spotify for more than a week when the playlists belonging to the other three members were easily accessible.

With this negligence and discrimination that has repeatedly happened to Giselle, fans have voiced their frustration with all the brands and companies involved by saying that they will continue to defend Giselle until this discrimination issue is resolved.
