The journey of love does not always run smoothly huh! There are always cross barriers in the relationship between two people, especially if the two of them have wide differences. Case in point, the relationship between two people of different beliefs, not a few that ends in separation because of crucial differences.

So what happens if the difference in a relationship is not just limited to beliefs or social status, but is even more extreme, like a love story from a different world ? It's a bit beyond reason, and maybe the story will be as exciting as the following  4 Korean dramas !

1. Bride of The Water God

To ascend the throne, a water god named Ha-baek (Nam Joo-hyuk) descends to earth to find three sacred stones stored in various parts of the human world. On earth, Ha-baek is unable to use his powers as a god, so he and his servant must seek help from a human who is destined to be his bride. Apparently that destiny belongs to a psychiatrist named So-ah (Shin Se-kyung).

So-ah and Ha-baek meet when So-ah is in financial trouble. This brief and strange encounter makes So-ah think that Ha Baek is just a person with a mental disorder. While So-ah is busy avoiding Ha Baek, Ha Baek is always looking for ways to find So-ah. But in the end they are together, doing a search as well as knitting the seeds of feelings that are growing.

2. My Girlfriend is Gumiho

Next is My Girlfriend is Gumiho, a romantic drama starring veteran actors and actresses, Lee Seung Gi and Shin Min Ah. It tells the story of a student named Cha Dae Woong (Lee Seung Gi) who dreams of becoming an action star. Unfortunately his dream was strongly opposed by his grandfather.

Cha Dae Woong was taken by his grandfather to a remote campus in the hope that Cha Dae Woong could study properly there. But the grandfather's decision was not welcomed by Cha Dae Woong, he decided to run away by hiding in the truck that took him to nowhere.

After walking down the street, Cha Dae Woong arrived at a temple, where he heard a woman's voice telling him to paint nine tails on a fox painting. Unexpectedly after doing so, a mystical creature called Gumiho came out from there. And since then the love story of Tae Woong and Gumiho begins.

3. Angel's Last Mission: Love

The drama, which was worked on by director Lee Jung Sub and released in 2019, has a love story in a different world that you really have to follow! It is told that an angel named Kim Dan (Kim Myung Soo) gets his last assignment to bring Yeon Seo, a famous ballerina with his true love. Kim Dan's mission is apparently not as easy as one might imagine, because Lee Yeon Seo (Shin Hye Sun) herself has closed her heart so she doesn't believe in love.

Becoming blind after having an accident, being left behind by her parents, and often being deceived and used by those closest to her, made Yeon Seo who she is today. Kim Dan was not discouraged, he did everything he could to bring love into Yeon Seo's life, but his efforts actually made Kim Dan fall in love with Lee Yeon Seo.

4. Doom at Your Service

A woman despairs because accidents never tire of approaching her life, accidentally summoning the god of destruction on her troubled day. It is told that a girl named Dong-Kyung (Park Bo Young) was diagnosed with glioblastoma with a short life expectancy. One night he saw a star falling from the roof of his house and asked for destruction to come soon.

With that original request, Myul-Mang (Seo In Guk), the god of destruction comes to Dong-Kyung to fulfill his wish. That's where their introduction began and then they got close to each other and even shared a place to live. So, those are 4 recommendations for love stories from different worlds, enjoy watching!
