Quoted from the Naver page May 9, 2023, aespa's latest album 'My World' has broken a new record with the highest album sales on the first day in Hanteo history. On May 8 2023, aespa finally returned to the world of music by releasing the mini album 'My World' and with the main song 'Spicy'.

Espa's third mini album 'My World' recorded sales of 1,372,929 copies (as of May 8) on the first day of release based on album sales statistics website Hanteo Chart. With this amount, aespa has surpassed LE SSERAFIM's record which previously sold 1,024,034 copies for the first day sales of their album 'Unforgiven'. 

Thus, aespa has become the K-pop girl group with the highest album sales on the first day in the history of the Korean sales tracking platform Hanteo. Meanwhile, to celebrate their first comeback in about 10 months, aepsa held a press conference for their 3rd mini album 'My World' at the COEX InterContinental Seoul in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on May 8, 2023.

At the press conference, Karina mentioned that the group's world view has evolved, “In our new album, we are expressing stories that started when we returned to the real world. This time, we are returning with the feeling of youth that is appropriate for our age.” The press conference also discussed the sales record for Aespa's new album. 

So far, 'My World' has surpassed 1.8 million pre-orders as of May 8. The sales surpassed the 1.61 million pre-orders of aespa's 2nd mini album 'Girls', signaling great success. Winter commented on the accomplishment saying, “ We only found out about it today. 

We are grateful that you liked it more than we expected, and promise that aespa will work harder to repay the love we receive from fans." Meanwhile, the mini album 'My World' consists of a total of 6 songs, including the pre-release song 'Welcom to MY World', the main song 'Spicy', and the b-side song 'I'm Unhappy', 'Til We Meet Again. ', 'Thirsty', and 'Salty & Sweet'.
