Boy group SEVENTEEN has successfully added to their latest list of achievements with the comeback of the tenth mini album ' FML '. Quoting from Soompi on Tuesday May 9, 2023, SEVENTEEN successfully achieved their highest ranking debut on the Billboard 200 chart through the mini album 'FML'.
On May 8, 2023, Billboard announced the latest ranking for the Top 10 Billboard 200 Chart this week. This is a ranking for the most popular albums in the United States. SEVENTEEN successfully debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Charts with their tenth mini album 'FML'. This marks SEVENTEEN's highest ranking on the Billboard 200 Charts, including their third entry in the Top 10.
SEVENTEEN successfully entered the Top 10 Billboard 200 in June 2022, through the full album 'Face the Sun' which managed to sit in 7th place. Furthermore, the repackage album 'Sector 17' which was released one month after 'Face the Sun' also successfully debuted on the Billboard 200 chart by occupying the No.4 position.
Not only that, the mini album 'Your Choice' which was released in 2021 and 'Attaca' also managed to rank 12th and 15th after its release. As well as debuting in the Top 2 of the Billboard 200 Charts, SEVENTEEN's 10th mini album 'FML' also topped album sales this week, amassing 135,000 copies sold.
According to data from Luminate (formerly MRC Data), the album's sales reached 132,000, marking the 4th highest album sales in 2023. For album streaming the equivalent of 3000 units, and the equivalent of the total audio streaming demands of 4.36 million for the week. 'FML' was released in 14 CD versions, with versions exclusive to Barnes and Nobles, Target, and Weverse.
Digitally 'FML' consists of 17 different digital versions of the album. Each version has a different art design, with four of the albums having 2 bonus tracks. While the other 13 digital versions have different album covers for each SEVENTEEN member. In the first week sales for the mini album 'FML', 98% were dominated by physical album sales, with digital albums selling only 2%.
Last month, SEVENTEEN successfully broke the record as the best selling album in K-Pop history through the album 'FML' which successfully recorded sales of more than 4 million copies in just 1 day. 'FML' also managed to record 4.5 million copies within a week. Once again congratulations to SEVENTEEN.
