Singer Jeon Somi has finally announced that she will be making a comeback after two years. Reporting from Soompi June 3, 2023, on June 2, 2023, Jeon Somi's agency, The Black Label, revealed that the artist is currently preparing for a summer comeback and plans to shoot a music video for her new song in mid-June.

Jeon Somi is raising fans' expectations when she hinted at a comeback after 2 years since the release of her first full album "XOXO" in October 2021. After receiving a positive response with the 2 hits "Dumb Dumb" and "XOXO", Jeon Somi finally "woke up" from the long 2-year break through the comeback race this summer.

Jeon Somi was a participant in the "Produce 101" competition representing the JYP Entertainment agency and won first place. She debuted as a member of project girl group IOI in 2016 at the age of 15. After IOI disbanded, she started solo activities in 2019. She joined the second season of the reality show "Sister's Slam Dunk" as a permanent member.

With The Black Label, Jeon Somi released her debut single entitled "Birthday" in June 2019 which at that time became a hit and the music video managed to penetrate four million viewers within 24 hours. In July 2021, the single "Dumb Dumb" was released and managed to reach 10 million views in less than 24 hours on YouTube.

In particular, "Dumb Dumb" was received very well and even topped domestic music charts. His signature "Batman dance" went viral via a social media challenge. This shows that Jeon Somi is a K-Pop female soloist to be reckoned with and awaits her comeback.
